When I hear the word "materialism", I automatically think of how my dad refers to me. He says that I like a brand rather than the quality. Materialism is something that many people seem to have, and can be seen in both a positive and negative way, although mostly a negative way. The reason why they consider it a complex subject of society is because everybody wants to pursue nice things, wealth and the tangible things.
